Portland-based unisex hair care shop Bishops Cuts & Color, which we learned would be opening in downtown Walnut Creek across from the Lyric apartment complex back in December is now open. Check out their services here. You can see some of their pricing in the photo at bottom. This is their first East Bay location and “customers can expect a laid-back atmosphere, enjoying early MTV-style music videos on the specially curated Bishops TV platform while sipping a free beer (for those over the age of 21).”

Town Hall Theatre

Thursday, March 1st – Saturday, March 24th, 2018A dark comedy about what happens when your fantasies come true … by the “comic poet of middle class life.”
… perhaps the most daring and poignant of all his plays … THE TELEGRAPH
Poor Susan. Stuck in a humdrum marriage, feeling unfulfilled and neglected. All it takes is stepping on a garden rake, a minor concussion — and a few hilarious hallucinations — for Susan to find herself suddenly surrounded by the ideal fantasy family, handsomely dressed in tennis whites and sipping champagne. But when her real and imaginary worlds collide, those fantasies take on a nightmarish life of their own.

Rheem Valley Shopping Center, Moraga
Starbucks is going to reopen very soon, possibly later this week, a short hop from their existing spot in Rheem Valley shopping center in Moraga. Although it’s not a Reserve this one will have a drive thru! The updated interior looks way more spacious as well.

Thanks to everyone who pointed out that the San Mateo-based bikeshare company called LimeBike is now operational at Shadelands in Walnut Creek. One reader sent the above photo at the bus stop on Wiget Lane near Mitchell Drive. Interestingly, it’s dockless so after scanning it from an app it can be dropped off anywhere.
From the Shadelands bike share page:
Dockless bike sharing has rolled into Shadelands with an easy-to-use, high-tech bikeshare program through LimeBike, a San Mateo-based firm that is deploying 500 smart-bikes throughout the 267-acre Shadelands business center enabled with GPS, 3G wireless technology, and self-activating locks.
LimeBike is revolutionizing mobility in Shadelands by empowering people with a fast, healthy, and affordable transportation option. The bicycle has the potential to solve the first and last mile problem in mass transportation, and by utilizing modern mobile technology and a dockless program, LimeBike makes bike sharing universally affordable and available.
The Shadelands Bikeshare Program is free to Shadelands employees. Get ready to hop on: Download the LimeBike app now on your iPhone or Android and sign up with your Shadelands business domain address.
