We knew that this was going to happen since June, and sure enough, the children’s activewear clothing store ivivva recentlyclosed in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. Most of their other stores have closed but you can still shop online here.

b8ta, a store featuring new tech products, think Makers Market for the tech world, is coming to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek according to this article from Mercury News. Check out their offerings here. The product line reminds me a bit of Sharper Image which used to be at Broadway Plaza several years ago.

It looks like Broadway Plaza may be getting a huge new gym in the remaining spot available across from Macy’s as Minnesota-based Life Time Fitness is in advanced talks with the owner of Broadway Plaza to come to the Bay Area. One source has indicated the likely spot if this does go through to be in Broadway Plaza. Check out their offerings including yoga, indoor cycling, kickboxing, pilates and more here. Stay tuned…

Thanks to everyone for pointing to this CNN Money article noting that Starbucks-owned Teavana is closing all storefronts. Teavana opened just over a year ago in the newly redeveloped Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek with one of their concept stores featuring loose leaf tea.

Last week we learned that Makers Market, a shop featuring American-made, handcrafted goods would be opening in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and they have now opened. They carry a wide variety of really nice looking goods at this location, from handbags to jewelry, clothing, home accessories and plenty more so definitely drop by to check them out if you’re in the area. The women’s clothing store Free People is relocating within downtown Walnut Creek to Broadway Plaza early next year. They will be located in between The Art of Shaving and Crate and Barrel in front of the future Apple store where currently construction is going on. A couple of months ago we learned that Canadian skincare company Saje Natural Wellness would be coming to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and according to the temporary signage now up they will be opening sometime in the fall where Michael Stars used to be. In addition to three other Bay Area locations in San Francisco, Santa Clara and Corte Madera in Marin, another store will be opening on Fourth Street in Berkeley.
