Burger King has closed in the Rheem Valley shopping center in Moraga. According to a Design Review Board notice in the window it may be converted to a Starbucks coffee shop with a new outdoor seating area.
Yesterday we saw how the rain has been helping make the Lamorinda trail waterfall in Moraga flow nicely. I pass this waterfall all the time when running so it’s become a common scene for me. Another favorite spot for me is Lamorinda’s greatest tree swing in Lafayette Community Park.

9:30am – 12:30pm | $15Winter rains bring out newts to ponds in the hills. Amazing naturalist Bob Love is your guide. Learn newt natural history and see frogs, lizards and early spring flowers. Our newt adventure is a gentle 2.5 mile hike to three different ponds in Briones Regional Park, Martinez. Bring water and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes and layers of clothes. Map and directions will be emailed after registration completed. Hike will not be cancelled due to weather (bring rain gear if needed).

Crews were out Tuesday morning replacing all of the trash cans in downtown Walnut Creek.
Out are the green circular ones… in are the solar powered ones that only open in front… & compact the trash every hour or so. There are also new recycling bins.
Alamo Plaza Shopping Center
