Thanks to a reader for pointing out that last week Brookstone declared bankruptcy and is closing all stores including the one at the Sunvalley shopping center in Concord. According to an employee they are expecting to close within the next couple of months.

Mom’s Touch Chicken & Burger may have closed last month near Todos Santos Plaza in Concord but not to worry as Fresh Tray Chicken & Burger has opened in its place today according to a sign posted in their window. They’ll still be offering chicken sandwiches, popcorn chicken and more.
Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
In April we learned that the clothing store Johnny Was would be coming to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and the coming soon signage is now up showing they’ll be opening next month in September. Now that Apple has reopened this part of Broadway Plaza looks completely different with a wide open space making this a great time and location to open. Check out the Johnny Was website here.
