Rossmoor Town Center
Thanks to a reader for sending word that Burgerim Gourmet Burgers is coming soon to the newly redeveloped Rossmoor Town Center in Walnut Creek right next to where Starbucks opened. Check out their menu here. They seem to be expanding everywhere lately with their Pleasant Hill spot opening last year, and their Concord location opening near Todos Santos this year as well.

Look for the Napa-based restaurant and wine bar Bounty Hunter to open very soon in downtown Walnut Creek, possibly by the end of the week. According to NBC Bay Area a man was shot last night at Union Bank in downtown Walnut Creek. “The victim walked into Kaiser’s Walnut Creek Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his back and suffered injuries not considered life-threatening”. More details to come…

Last month the children’s clothing store Janie and Jack was planning on closing at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek due to the bankruptcy of its owner Gymboree. However, it turns out that Gap bought Janie and Jack for $35 million and so it will remain open and continue to operate as a standalone brand according to this SF Chronicle article.
