Has anyone seen coyotes on the Lamorinda Trail recently? I spotted these signs in a couple of locations in Moraga. How do coyotes compare to mountain lions? Should I be worried about coyotes or this is only of concern to small animals?
Driving on I-680 in Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville down to San Ramon one can see the coming FasTrak toll Express Lane signs sprouting up. According to the 511.org website, these lanes are free for carpools and motorcycles but will charge a dynamic fee for solo drivers based on the amount of traffic.

It’s been only a few weeks since we learned that the Korean-Japanese restaurant Koja Kitchen would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek but already the signage is up. Check out their menu here.
On Monday we learned that anti-Muslim fliers were posted around the Joaquin Moraga middle school campus in Moraga but it wasn’t clear who posted it nor what the contents were. Thanks to a Facebook reader for pointing out this East Bay Times article which reports that they were posted by a current student and ‘depicted a still from the animated sitcom “Family Guy” that shows the cartoon character Porky Pig emerging from a drum emblazoned with the words “Muslim Looney Tunes,”’ Click here to see the still from the Family Guy Wiki.
