Last year we learned that Wells Fargo closed at the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Rd. in downtown Lafayette and there are plans for La Fiesta Square to expand all the way from Luxe Home by Douglah Designs to this corner. With the potential for up to 30,000 sf of retail space on three levels according to the development page, I believe this will have the most visibility of all retails areas in Lafayette and look forward to finding out what opens here. What store would you most like to see?
After four years serving ice cream made with liquid nitrogen, Smitten Ice Cream closed over the weekend at La Fiesta Square in Lafayette. It’s not all bad news though; According to a letter posted inside all Lafayette, Moraga, Walnut Creek and Concord residents will get 25% off purchases from their Rockridge location through the end of the year. Check out their flavors here.
Why did they leave out Orinda and Pleasant Hill residents? Orinda is part of Lamorinda but maybe they figured it’s too close to Rockridge to offer a discount. Why did they skip Pleasant Hill? Maybe that’s an oversight…
After 33 years in business the health food store Open Sesame is closing September 30th in La Fiesta Square in Lafayette. A sign in the windows notes that there is a retirement sale and according to the latest leasing information the gym Formula 3 will be opening in this spot.
The women’s clothing boutique Specialtees closed the last day of 2017 in Lafayette’s La Fiesta Square and this spot has been split in half with Oakland-based Harper Greer, another clothing boutique, planning to occupy the left side next to the health store Open Sesame. Check out their online collection here and stay tuned for the opening date.
18 years ago on his date, Leslie and I signed a lease and began the party we call Nitro Dog. Today we announce its closure and our upcoming retirement! Our last day of business will be near the end of July. There have been so many great things, events and friendships that have come from this shop! We’re most proud of the thousands of pets and people who we’ve helped start, live and finish their lives together. Now we begin our next journey. BE HAPPY FOR US!!!!!!
The Studio, a Danville gym based on three types of fitness zones focusing on different components, is planning on coming to La Fiesta Square in Lafayette where Open Sesame currently is according to the latest La Fiesta Square leasing information. Find out more about the classes here.
If The Studio does end up moving here Open Sesame is planning to relocate within Lafayette.
Last month we saw that the French bakery La Chataigne temporarily closed in La Fiesta Square in Lafayette and they have now reopened. They feature “freshly baked croissants, brioche, danishes, breads, and more made in the traditional French style”.
