1506 N. Main St, Walnut Creek
The boba tea cafe Sinceretea will be opening in downtown Walnut Creek this Saturday, February 16th, where, “all drinks are BOGO free on 2/16-2/17!” Check out their menu here. This will be a record fifth boba tea cafe located downtown. I look forward to pairing a drink with my favorite, mochi egg puffs. 😋😋😋

City Center Bishop Ranch, San Ramon
Roam Artisan Burgers opened their sixth location today at the new City Center Bishop Ranch shopping plaza in San Ramon. Check out their menu here. Every time I go to their Lafayette restaurant I always get the Tejano burger. Count me in as a huge fan. With Boba Guys and Slanted Door also open in the plaza, this place keeps getting better and better in terms of the food options.

2050 Diamond Blvd, Concord
Golden Corral, the buffet restaurant we learned would be opening across from the Veranda shopping center in Concord, is set to open very soon, possibly next Tuesday according to one email I received. Check out nutrition details for their menu items here.

1980 Galindo St, Concord
Thanks to a reader for sending word that Bangkok Kitchen will be closing on Valentine’s Day in Concord. They have been serving customers since 1994 and haven’t decided whether they will be relocating elsewhere. Check out their website here.
This is the same development that was included in the Shops at Todos Santos sale from a couple of years and is why stores and restaurants are scrambling to relocate or end up closing.

501 Hartz Ave, Danville
Last spring we learned that Basil Leaf Cafe would be closing on Hartz Ave. in Danville and now the Tex-Mex restaurant Cocina Hermanas has opened in this spot. This the same owner as Harvest across the street. Check out their lunch menu here and dinner menu here.

Willows Shopping Center, Concord
MidiCi, the Italian restaurant featuring Neapolitan Pizzas that we learned would be opening last spring, is finally opening in the Willows shopping center in Concord on February 15th. Check out their pizza menu here and appetizer menu here. Interestingly, they changed their signage from Neapolitan Pizza to Italian Kitchen as seen in the above photo, I imagine to show that they offer more than just pizza. For those who held on to the free pizza coupon cards they were handing out months ago, one employee there said they’ll honor them.
From their website:
Our certified pizzaiolos (pizza makers) invite you to select fresh, natural, high quality, mostly non-GMO ingredients to create your ideal Neapolitan Pizza in the open, center-staged bustling kitchen, also known as “the heart”. We meet rigorous gastronomic rules to serve authentic Neapolitan Pizza famously known for its chewy, crisp dough and topped with all-natural ingredients. All baked to perfection in 90 seconds. Staying true to Neapolitan heritage, our dough is made with only four fine ingredients – non-GMO double zero flour imported from Naples, pure water, sea salt and live yeast. The authentic and pure garnishes include – crushed non-GMO Italian peeled tomatoes, fresh whole mozzarella and non-GMO, Italian extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil.

145 E. Prospect Ave, Danville
Excited to see Lottie’s Creamery opening their third location in Danville where Danville Soup and Salad Shack used to be! Check for their latest flavors on their Facebook page here. Someone mentioned they have new owners which may explain the expansion. This is one of my favorites, made right in downtown Walnut Creek “pasteurizing local and seasonal ingredients”.

The Shops at Todos Santos, Concord
Last spring we learned about a new food-focused plaza being built called The Shops at Todos Santos at the corner of Salvio St. and Galindo St. in Concord and as expected, the first restaurant to open here is Chipotle, which opened yesterday. Check out their menu here.

1521 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek
Last Winter we learned that Napa-based Bounty Hunter would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek where Tommy Bahama used to be and as you can see in the above photo they are making lots of progress and are going to have a job fair tomorrow the 31st from 10am – 1pm at the Lesher Center. In addition to the restaurant they’ll also have a wine shop to check out. For more information on the job fair and inside renderings check out their Facebook page here.
