Thanks to a reader for sending word (and photos) that the clothing store Ministry of Supply closed less than a year after opening in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. As the note in the window points out, you can still check them out at their San Francisco store on Fillmore Street or online here.
Model 3 is a smaller, simpler, more affordable electric car. Although it is our newest vehicle, Model 3 is not “Version 3” or the most advanced Tesla. Like Model S, it is designed to be the safest car in its class.
According to the latest Walnut Creek permit information it looks like a Peloton cycling showroom is planned for Broadway Plaza next to Amazon. For about $2,000 you get the carbon steel frame bike professionally assembled in your home as well as a 12 month subscription to their $39/month riding plan with live streaming classes and real time performance tracking. Check out their classes here.
Founded in 2012, Peloton brought top talent together in its Silicon Alley headquarters to create a new concept in fitness. We loved cycling but had a hard time finding a workout that consistently fit our schedules, and our at-home workouts never felt quite up to par. So, we set out to create a world-class indoor cycling studio experience on your time, and in the comfort of your own home.
The popup leggings shop Just Cozy which opened in October in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek is closing January 15th. When I stopped by over the weekend they had really great sales going on with further reductions coming. Look for them to come back again next fall season as well.
The women’s clothing store Free People, which we learned would be relocating to Broadway Plaza back in July, is scheduled to open in their new location by the end of March. Check out the Free People website here and read about their story here.
The baby and children’s clothing store Monica + Andy opened less than a month after we first learned they would be replacing ivivva/XCVI in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek right on time for the holiday shopping season. All clothing and blankets are made with organic cotton and they can order anything not available in-store and have it shipped to you directly. Beginning in January there will be various programs featuring local artists, musicians etc. hosted in the back of their store. Check out their online collection here.
It’s interesting to see online stores moving into retail locations, I think this is just the beginning…
A couple of weeks ago we learned that the baby and children’s clothing store Monica + Andy would be coming to Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek and as you can see in the above photo the Coming Soon signage is up with an expected opening timeframe of “Holiday 2017”. Considering it’s almost December this means they are hurrying to open ASAP for the all-important holiday shopping season.
