The Veranda, Concord
The signage is up for SoCal-based Silverlake Ramen, a small spot in the Veranda shopping center in Concord. Check out their ramen selection here and find out more about the founder’s interesting story here.

The Veranda, Concord
The all you can eat SoCal-based shabu shabu restaurant Shabuya is coming to The Veranda in Concord and their Coming Soon signage is now up. Check out their menu here. Interesting that wagyu beef is included in the all-you-can eat option as I thought that was one of the most expensive items on a menu. I look forward to trying this place out since I love shabu shabu.

Lyric, Walnut Creek
Last year we learned that Michigan-based Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea would coming to downtown Walnut Creek in the new Lyric apartment complex and they have now opened. There’s seating both inside and out with a cool bear mural on one inside wall (see photo after the jump.) In addition to typical hot and cold coffee and tea they also offer a frozen slushie-esque drink with different flavors called the Ice Dragon. They even sell coffee beans, bakery items, salads, and even pup cups (for dogs). Check out their Walnut Creek menu here.

Starbucks opened over the weekend where Vitamin Shoppe used to be in downtown Walnut Creek. It looks spacious inside, has anyone been yet? How does it compare to the other downtown Starbucks? With Coffee Shop and Peet’s right across the street there are so many coffee ☕ options in that location, amazing!

1358 N. Main Street, Walnut Creek
Main Street Kitchen, which closed back in March for an expansion and remodeling has reopened in downtown Walnut Creek. It’s far bigger now since they expanded next door and have an open kitchen, full bar, and even a cool looking pizza oven (see photo below). They even have four individual restrooms! (Sink is outside though). Check out their brunch menu here, lunch menu here and dinner menu here. Check out their website here. The food here is delicious! Keep in mind they are a ‘no tip’ restaurant, instead they charge a 20% service charge for everyone.
