Willows Shopping Center
In April, we learned that Cajun Crack’n Live Seafood & Oyster Bar would be coming to Willows shopping center in Concord, and their signage is now up, expected to open in October. Check out their San Jose menu here.

Lafayette Clocktower
Thanks to everyone who mailed that Patxi’s Pizza has closed at the Lafayette Clocktower. They had been open in this spot for over 11 years. Their Dublin and other locations remain open.


Plaza Escuela, Walnut Creek
We’ve been waiting since February for Nick the Greek to open at Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek, and they have now opened. You can see the falafel bowl in the photo below I had a few days ago. Very tasty, I’ll be back for sure.


1520 Locust St, Walnut Creek
In June, we learned that Pleasanton based Greek restaurant Elia would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek where Lokanta used to be, and their Coming Soon signage is now up. Check out their various menus here.

Geary Marketplace, Walnut Creek
This is somewhat old news, but pre-covid, we learned that Que Onda Tacobar would be opining where Freebirds used to be, and they have been open since last year. Check out their menu here.

City Center Bishop Ranch, San Ramon
Over two years ago, we learned that Sprinkles would be coming to City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon and they have now opened. Check out their menu here. I tried the dark chocolate cupcake and it was quite decadent. Very rich.

Orinda Theatre Square
In May, we learned that Republic of Cake would be closing at Orinda Theatre Square, and its replacement, the Vietnamese restaurant Kibi’s Cafe, has now soft opened at this spot. This is their second location after Walnut Creek. Check out their online menu here. Over the weekend, I tried the shrimp rolls and it was delicious! I’ll be back for more for sure.
