Now that we know that Broadway Plaza will soon start charging for parking at their downtown Walnut Creek garages (after 2 hours), there is a already petition to boycott the plaza for the new policy. Apparently some employers will pay for their employees parking and some won’t.
Do you think Broadway Plaza employers should pay for their employees parking?

Thanks to a reader for pointing out that a new cafe called Genuine Goodness, featuring baked goods, salads, soups and smoothies opened this week in Orinda where Village Pizza is located across from the Orinda library. The owners of the cafe previously used a commercial kitchen in Lafayette making food and smoothies for local Lamorinda schools. They will still make food and smoothies for schools but now have a space of their own to showcase their dishes. The gingerbread cake with lemon icing and apricot bars (see photos after the jump) were delicious! Check out their smoothies here. Their menu changes daily so check out their latest offerings on their Facebook page here.
From their website:
Genuine Goodness provides delicious, fresh and handcrafted Smoothies, Soups, Salads and Goodies made from all-natural, high-quality products. We seek organic, local and seasonal ingredients and provide gluten-free options when possible.

Walked by Redux Lounge over the weekend in downtown Walnut Creek and noticed a sign in the window indicating that their alcohol beverage license has been suspended indefinitely. Records show they were suspended back in 2010 and 2009. Anyone know what happened?

It’s been six months since we learned that the alcoholic beverage store BevMo! would be coming to downtown Lafayette where Design & Interiors used to be and they have now opened in a smaller than usual spot. How does this compare to the Orinda location other than size?
