Spotted in downtown Walnut Creek. Anyone know the model?

Thanks to a reader for pointing out that a new cafe called Genuine Goodness, featuring baked goods, salads, soups and smoothies opened this week in Orinda where Village Pizza is located across from the Orinda library. The owners of the cafe previously used a commercial kitchen in Lafayette making food and smoothies for local Lamorinda schools. They will still make food and smoothies for schools but now have a space of their own to showcase their dishes. The gingerbread cake with lemon icing and apricot bars (see photos after the jump) were delicious! Check out their smoothies here. Walked by Redux Lounge over the weekend in downtown Walnut Creek and noticed a sign in the window indicating that their alcohol beverage license has been suspended indefinitely. Records show they were suspended back in 2010 and 2009. Anyone know what happened?

It’s been six months since we learned that the alcoholic beverage store BevMo! would be coming to downtown Lafayette where Design & Interiors used to be and they have now opened in a smaller than usual spot. How does this compare to the Orinda location other than size?

(24 minutes). “Comes With Baggage” – A light-hearted history of bicycle travel in the Americas that makes you want to sell your possessions, quit your job and escape on a bike. (18 minutes). And “Soil Carbon Cowboys” – These ranchers have learned how to regenerate their soils while making their animals healthier and their operations more profitable. (13 minutes). A $10 donation is requested, $5 for students, and cookies, snacks, coffee and beverages will be served.

A few years ago we learned that Hiro Sushi opened in downtown Walnut Creek where C U Sushi used to be and according to a public notice a new sushi joint called Andy Sushi will be taking over. As you can see it has been painted red and according to this Craigslist post, they are planning to open, “late August/early September” and are hiring.

Last week the women’s clothing store J.Jill has relocated to a third location on Broadway Plaza Lane in downtown Walnut Creek. Previously they were located on the main strip and before that they were located around the corner near the fountain.
