Are there any ice cream trucks that operate in Walnut Creek? Our neighborhood is holding a block party next month and we’d love to get an ice cream truck to stop by.

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Victoria’s Secret has relocated to a new spot within Broadway Plaza on the backside near Macy’s. PINK, their college-focused shop opened next door. As you can see in the photo below, they also have a window display on the garage side driving on S. Broadway, although there is no entrance from that side.

It’s been a long two year wait but Boudin Bakery & Cafe is finally back in a new spot next to Nordstrom in Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek and the new spot where they are located is SO much better than their former spot next to Macy’s. While the former spot felt claustrophobic due to lack of space and lighting, this new spot sees the light of day, literally, with giant windows allowing plenty of natural sunlight in. The larger space has plenty more seating as well as outdoor tables as well as a long section along the wall to line up.
I tried the classic BBQ pork sandwich with coleslaw and it was great. They also offer burgers which I don’t believe they offered in their old location. I also saw a beer and wine sign on the wall which will go great with their sourdough offerings. In addition to dishes they also offer sliced bread (sourdough, cinnamon raisin and multigrain).

More photos after the jump…

Several shops in the recently opened backside section of Broadway Plaza are ones that have relocated within the plaza or from downtown Walnut Creek, but one completely new one is the children’s clothing store Hanna Andersson. Interestingly they also carry women’s clothing. Check out their website here.
Aurora Theatre Company
2081 Addison St, Berkeley
Friday, June 17th – Sunday, July 17th, 2016An ordinary rainy afternoon in 1950’s South Africa turns into a profound and lifechanging experience for a white teenager and the two black men employed by his family. At once a coming of age drama and a scathing indictment of inequality, this modern masterpiece by Athol Fugard (Blood Knot, My Children! My Africa!) continues to speak to the world’s many racial injustices as well as its hopes for reconciliation.
