A few months ago we learned that the pond at Blackhawk Plaza in Danville was drained and the ducks did not look happy at all. Happily, when I stopped by recently the pond has been refilled and the ducks look like they’re having a blast. Yay! 🙂

The New York-based clothing store J.McLaughlin, which we learned would be coming to La Fiesta Square in Lafayette (next to Starbucks), opened last Friday. Find out more about their story (founded in 1977) here, check out their online selection here and book an appointment with a stylist here.
Considering its East Coast origins I’m not surprised it reminded me of Vineyard Vines with a preppy look. In addition to an expansive women’s selection there is also a smaller men’s section including swimwear, perfect for the upcoming summer.
