I was walking near Morucci’s deli on Boulevard Way in Walnut Creek when I passed by a sign for Saranap Village. First proposed back in 2014, it has gone through various updates until the project was approved last year. It will feature up to almost 200 apartments/condos, a supermarket, coffee shop, sit-down restaurant and wine bar. As you can see in the above photo development has yet to start. Avalon, Walnut Creek

Plaza Center, Lafayette
Apparently Peet’s Coffee at Plaza Center in Lafayette is lacking space so they have a separate storefront on the backside that acts as a storeroom. Nicely decorated; too bad it’s not a special Peet’s Reserve store like Starbucks Reserve though.

The Veranda, Concord
Earlier this month we learned that Coffee Shop would be opening this summer in the Veranda shopping center in Concord and right next door, Residual Sugar Wine Bar, with their main location in downtown Walnut Creek, is progressing as well as you can see in these photos. There is a huge patio area on the side and the fountains in front of the IMAX theater are nearby so this is going to be a great spot to hang out once they open.
