This crazy journey started almost three years ago in Danville, California. As a mom of three children, I set out to find a purpose. When I was approached by a friend to take what she started and make it something bigger, I jumped on it! My passion for working out, fitness and shopping and activewear, all came into one love. Beyond Active is a place to find everything you love about women, men, and children’s activewear and wellness!

Delarosa first opened its doors in 2010 to Chestnut Street in San Francisco’s Marina District. Since then, Delarosa, in close proximity to the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, and Crissy Field has served as the neighborhood destination for casual, communal-style dining, all-day, 7 days a week. Beloved for its Roman-style pizza, small plates, craft beer, Italian and Californian wines, and delicious craft cocktails, Delarosa and its interpretation of the classic and unpretentious beer and pizza pairing has made a mark on many locals’ and visitors’ must-visit lists.

1360 Locust St, Walnut Creek
The Oakland-based German-inspired restaurant and beer hall Bierhaus opens for dinner today in downtown Walnut Creek where Lark Creek used to be. Inside is quite spacious with a warm ambiance highlighted with wood tones and German signage throughout the main area as well as the nearby bar and retail bottle shop. The outdoor patio area is expansive, a perfect, dog-friendly spot to hang out with friends and family.
Food-wise I enjoyed the various sausages as well as warm pretzels with German mustard and Belgian fries. Accompanied with German beers such as a Marzen and Pilsner made for an enjoyable dining experience that will bring me back with my family for sure. Note that they have over, “20 imported, local beers and ciders on tap”. Check out their food menu here and beer menu here.
Bierhaus is open for dinner service only beginning at 5:30 p.m., with lunch and happy hour service commencing on November 25. Be sure to check this place out if you’re in the area!
