2640 Shadelands Dr, Walnut Creek
In 2016 the basketball center Ultimate Fieldhouse opened in the Walnut Creek Shadelands area and the next phase, called Shadelands SportsMall, is progressing as you can see in these photos. This massive 215,000 sq sf training center will feature nine additional sports programs and a juicery.

Phase II will be anchored by the 105,000 sq ft COPA Soccer Training Center, a high-tech facility featuring indoor turf and futsal fields and a 10,000 sq ft fitness and performance center home to Speed Lab and Copa Fit. Encore Gymnastics & Dance, American Swim Academy, Mike Murphy Baseball, Vibe Volleyball, Sparta Taekwondo, and Raga Yoga will round out Phase II, along with the inaugural location of Genius Juicery, a purveyor of delicious, performance-focused juices made in-house. Walnut Creek Soccer Club will also maintain an office in the complex.
La Fiesta Square, Lafayette
In September we learned that the health foods store Open Sesame would be closing in La Fiesta Square in Lafayette and the coming spring 2019 signage for Formula 3 is now up on the Moraga Rd. side. The parent company Leisure Sports, also owns Renaissance Club Sport.

Orinda Theatre Square

In September we learned that the Oregon-based indoor cycling studio StarCycle would be coming to Danville and they open today with free rides available through Sunday the 9th. This is their first California location and features a, “low-impact, high-intensity proprietary indoor cycling method, carefully choreographed to work every muscle group in the body and push riders to their edge.” Check out their schedule and find out more about the owner here.

Main Street Plaza, Walnut Creek
The discount home goods store Tuesday Morning closed last year in Main Street Plaza in Walnut Creek and according to the latest city planning commission agenda YogaWorks is planning on relocating from their Plaza Escuela location to this more prominent spot. It will be less than 7,000 sf while the rest of the 17,000 space is expected to remain empty for now. Check out their schedule here and pricing here.
Palos Verdes Mall, Walnut Creek
Indigo Yoga & Pilates has expanded yet again, to a third location in the Palos Verdes mall in Walnut Creek, this time opening a cycling studio featuring stationary Schwinn bikes. Class offerings include high energy, inspirational and sweaty, classical-style and music-driven styles. Indigo also offers various yoga classes, including Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini, Hatha, Mat Pilates, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga and Sound Healing. Park & Shop, Concord
An energetic workout could be heard far and wide in the parking lot of the Park & Shop shopping center in Concord promoting the fitness gym Shapes Fitness for Women which is opening soon on the second floor of a building at the far end near Rockin Crawfish. Find out more on the Concord page here.
