This week we learned that Rotator Taproom will be opening soon in Walnut Creek where Farm Creek Brewing Company used to be. There is also a taproom at Calicraft Brewing Company off Ygnacio Valley Rd and in Concord there is Hop Grenade. What is your favorite taproom and why?

Thanks to a reader for sending word that the frozen yogurt spot Tutti Frutti has closed in the Citrus Marketplace shopping center in Walnut Creek where the Nob Hill supermarket is located. There is an ABANDONMENT OF REAL PROPERTY letter on the door.

11:00am – 7:30pm | FreeLamorinda Idol finalists in soloist and group categories will compete at this free event throughout the day, culminating in the Lamorinda Idol 2018 winners being crowned in the elementary, middle and high school categories at 7 pm.
Audience members are an important part of the voting and will have the chance to cast votes for their favorite Lamorinda finalists on August 19th. Audience votes, combined with feedback from a panel of musically experienced judges, will determine who will be crowned 2018 Lamorinda Idols.

Farm Creek Brewing Company closed last September in Walnut Creek and now a new taproom called Rotator Taproom will be opening in the next couple of weeks in this spot. There will be 21 different brews on tap with plenty more seating including on the second floor as can be seen in the below photo. Check for updates on their Facebook page here and website here. Childhood buddies Ryan Westerman, Jeff Stephens, and Marc Trapani hatched the idea of opening a craft beer taproom in their hometown of Walnut Creek. The time is almost here! Rotator Taproom will be serving up 21 rotating taps of only the finest craft beers known to mankind.
