According to this East Bay Times article, a cafe will be included in the “6,469-square-foot Amazon store”. Downtown Pleasant Hill Shopping Center
Thanks to a reader for pointing out that Golf Galaxy has opened in the Downtown Pleasant Hill Shopping Center where Golfsmith used to be. Golf Galaxy is owned by DICK’S Sporting Goods and according to a store employee everything in the store comes from Golf Galaxy, not leftover from Golfsmith. Too bad about that sign though…

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
The iconic American leather goods store Coach suddenly closed in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek recently. This is right next to the clothing store Aritzia which opened last week. On the other side will probably be an Amazon Books store.

Lafayette Clocktower
Thanks to a reader for sending word (and photo) that RadioShack is closing at the Lafayette Clocktower on Mt. Diablo Blvd. A couple of years ago they integrated Sprint stores within but looks like it was too little too late. For a way bigger selection Fry’s Electronics is located in Concord, worth the trip.

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Last June we learned that the Vancouver-based women’s clothing store Aritzia would be coming to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and they have now opened. They took over the former J.Crew and J.Jill spots and with soaring ceilings it feels quite spacious. The artistic flourishes throughout the store add to the scene. Check out their website here.
