1930 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek
The sign outside the soon-to-be-open Noah’s Bagels in downtown Walnut Creek where Blockbuster Video used to be on Mt. Diablo Blvd. says “open in 3 days” so it looks like it will be officially opening this Wednesday, October 22nd. Inside looks like a typical Noah’s Bagels with plenty of seating available.
1633 Bonanza St, Walnut Creek
A new ramen and yakitori restaurant called Ramen Hiroshi will be opening the beginning of November in downtown Walnut Creek where 310 Eatery used to be on Bonanza St. Since they don’t have their alcohol license yet they’re starting with ramen initially with plans to add yakitori later on. The owner mentioned one of my favorite South Bay ramen spots Orenchi from Santa Clara so I’m very hopeful!
2380 Monument Blvd, Pleasant Hill
Back in May we learned that Pieology Pizzeria was coming to the Crossroads Shopping Center in Pleasant Hill and they opened in late June. Check out their menu here. I wonder how this’ll stack up to Project Pie opening up in Walnut Creek?
15 Crescent Dr, Pleasant Hill
Jack’s Restaurant and Bar is planning on opening a new beer bar with separate entrance behind their current location in downtown Pleasant Hill on Crescent Drive where Golden Nails Salon used to be. According to the owner they’re looking to get, “at least 20 tap handles and maybe some tap wines”. There will also be an opening inside to move back and forth between the restaurant and beer bar. Check out their website here.
2 Theatre Square, Orinda
A new wine bar called Cine Cuvée is opening next to the Orinda Theatre where Kasper’s Hot Dogs used to be. Looks like there will be a movie/wine connection based on their Facebook page:
“Brin[g]ing cinema and wine together!”
“Cine – a combining form meaning “motion picture”
Cuvée – a type, blend, or batch of wine”
Coming Soon:

Check out all the signage at the recently re-opened LA street food style restaurant 310 Eatery at the Redux Lounge in downtown Walnut Creek. Previously they were located around the corner on Bonanza St. Their Facebook page is here.
1376 N. Main St, Walnut Creek
Last week we learned about a new wine bar opening in downtown Walnut Creek from the owners of The Hidden Vine Wine Bar in San Francisco and we now have a name: ADEGA | a wine bar. They are planning on opening by year end; this will be their second wine bar after The Hidden Vine Wine Bar that opened about three years ago on Merchant St. The Hidden Vine Wine Bar was included in Gayot Magazine’s 2014 list of the Ten Best Wine Bars in the US so this looks like it’s going to be a great addition to downtown Walnut Creek. Check out their food menu here.
1411 Locust St, Walnut Creek
The LA style street food restaurant 310 Eatery that opened in downtown Walnut Creek this April has relocated around the corner to the Redux Lounge on Locust St and will be open beginning next Tuesday, September 23rd. As you can see from the inside photo below, you’ll be able to eat at tables for lunch, dinner or a late night snack. The only difference is that there will be a full bar that offers beer, wine and other drinks. Check their Facebook page here.
