1320 Locust St, Walnut Creek
Last month I received an email from Veggie Grill’s marketing team promoting a special giveaway with the December 8th opening in downtown Walnut Creek. Based on the number of emails and comments that have been posted many were sorely disappointing finding out that there would be no opening yesterday. According to the same marketing team, “there is a hold up with construction but I heard there was someone on hand giving out gift cards this morning since it was delayed last minute.” I’m not sure what went down but I apologize for the mix up and hope that there is better communication from their marketing team going forward.

The new owners also run Zen restaurant in Pleasant Hill. Check out their menu here. The inside looks great and includes a bar area with an outdoor patio area in back. Very spacious.

Dear BtCreek,
I’m pretty convinced that the Walnut Creek (Broadway Plaza) Santa is the real Santa and I love that my kids get their photo with him each year. I’m really sad that he doesn’t have a home in Walnut Creek for 2014, and the Pleasanton and Concord Santas are just not the same. I was too late to get into the Breakfast With Santa and I see he’ll be around the weekend before Christmas — since you’re in the know, is that my only chance to snap a photo of my little ones with the Best Santa Ever?
Check out more details on where the Broadway Plaza Santa will be here. Not how many other opportunities there will be besides the weekend before Christmas, anyone know?
Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Back in October we learned that the the women’s sports clothing store Athleta opened next to Starbucks and the Tesla showroom in Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek and a sign inside indicates that they will be relocating within Broadway Plaza next Fall, 2015, presumably in the soon-to-be redeveloped section across the street.
