In March we learned that the Peruvian restaurant Limon Rotisserie would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek and although the opening has been delayed the Coming Soon signage is up and they are expected to open early 2017 according to their web site. Check out their menus here. I can’t wait to try their rotisserie chicken and hope this will be the best rotisserie chicken I have ever eaten.

10:00am – 4:00pm | $10 (per vehicle)This classic loop provides views in all directions (even if the lowlands are socked in with tule fog). We’ll circle the park’s namesake peak, Mt. Diablo (elev. 3849’), via Deer Flat, Murchio Gap, Prospectors Gap and Devil’s Elbow. Part of the route will pass through sections that burned in the 2013 Morgan Fire. Allow 6 hours for this 7.5 mile hike with an elevation gain of about 2000 feet. Steady relaxed pace with a 30-minute lunch and other rest breaks. Wear layered clothing and bring plenty of water. Be prepared for mud and poison oak. Any rain cancels.

Forever Yogurt + Bee & Tea, which we learned would be opening this summer is now open at the corner of N. Main St. and Geary Rd. in Walnut Creek. Check out Forever Yogurt’s flavors here. You can order from Bea & Tea online here. Has anyone tried a bao bun here? How is it? I see they also carry acai bowls, nice!


Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
The Swedish clothing company H&M is maintaining their Broadway presence in downtown Walnut Creek and will be reopening in Broadway Plaza this Thursday, December 15th according to their store web page. As you can see in the photo below, their old Broadway Pointe location a block away is now closed.
