Forever Yogurt + Bee & Tea temporarily closed back in October in Walnut Creek at the corner of N. Main St. and Geary Rd. and thanks to a reader for sending word that they are back in new form with Juice Zone Bee & Tea opening soon at this spot. According to their new Facebook page they are a “smoothie, juice, açaí and Boba Tea Shop”. It seems like they’re hitting all the latest crazes but what about poke!?

Check out the giant new digital billboard at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek next to Macy’s and Starbucks. I didn’t hear any sound although I wonder if it will be added later on? The photo below shows the view from the backside outside the top level parking lot.

Pancoast Pizza is expanding next door in Walnut Creek with an expected opening later this year. Located near Las Lomas High School, they will be doubling their seating capacity, expanding their outdoor patio area, and are planning to include chicken wings and cheese steaks to the menu as well as a new beer tap. Check out their menu here. Note: they also offer hoagie sandwiches.

Thanks to a reader for pointing out that The Golf Mart is relocating from their Mt. Diablo Blvd. location later this month to where Consignment Plus Home Furnishings used to be, above Kinder’s on Parkside Dr. in Walnut Creek.

On 02/06/2018 at 1:00 PM, while riding the Walnut Creek Free Trolley (County Connection bus Route 4), a male suspect seated across from a female passenger exposed his penis and committed a lewd act. As the bus arrived at the Walnut Creek BART station, the female passenger reported the incident to the County Connection driver who immediately called the police. The suspect exited the bus at the BART station before he could be detained.

Complimentary refreshments will be served, including beer tasting from Walnut Creek-based Calicraft Brewing. The entire family can hang out, see Ned Kahn’s Seed Vortex exhibition, enjoy refreshments, and make something cool!
Art activities for all ages: Make a fun multi-media artwork with mustard seeds and explore the convergence of art and science with Spirograph drawings.
Mustard making: Learn how to make your own mustard from Chef Jacob Croom (Tartine Manufactory, Kronnerburger, Salesforce) and Baker Jaren Wilkinson (Tartine Manufactory & Bakery, Pain Bakery). There will be drop-in stations to mix your own mustard to take home. The mustard-making process takes approximately 20
minutes and will be happening through the length of the event while supplies last.
