Thanks to a reader for sending word… The Filipino restaurant Sig’s Little Kitchen soft opened at the Crossroads of Danville shopping center on San Ramon Valley Blvd. Check out the menu in the photo below. I look forward to trying this place out!

May the 4th Be With You Celebration:
On May the 4th, the Town of Danville is celebrating all things Star Wars! A free scavenger hunt will start and end at the Danville Community Center. The first 150 participants to finish will receive a grab bag of Jedi treasures. -FREE! Two showings of one of the Star Wars movies at the Village Theatre. Visit www.villagetheatreshows.com to purchase tickets. Adults can enjoy a cantina crawl at our local establishments for a Star Wars themed libations. The Bloom Space, which relocated from Lafayette to Danville several years ago is packing up again and relocating to Sebastopol or possibly Petaluma. They also plan on offering DIY classes and sell handcrafted items when they reopen up north. Check out their website here.

Lemon, a shop featuring gifts, baby, home goods and more which opened last year as a popup shop, is returning to Danville down the block where Pelican Rock used to be on East Prospect, next to Locanda Ravello. Danville farmers market
Get your shaved ice from the new Kona Ice shaved ice truck at the Danville farmers market at Railroad & Prospect Ave. on Saturdays. They will be there at least through April. Check for updates on their Facebook page here. As you can see in the above photo, you add your own syrup near the bottom left of the truck. You can select multiple flavors but they don’t have straws, only spoons so eat it before it melts!

Danville Square
In December we learned about a new cupcake and ice cream shop called Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery coming to Danville Square where zpizza used to be and their signage is now up so hopefully they’ll be opening soon… Check out their menu here. According to their FAQ, they will also offer pupcakes, “made with carrot cake, pumpkin, soybean oil, peanut butter and buttercream. Our signature Pupcake is then topped with a real Milkbone training treat!”

Crafts Creamery, which opened a few years ago in Danville has been closed since late last year, however this sign has been posted ever since:

Last month we learned that the bridal boutique Brides on Hartz would be opening in Danville and they are now open. In addition to wedding gowns they also offer wedding and event planning services here. Note that there is a spacious fitting area towards the back with couch and chairs.
