A Red Bull car, spotted in downtown Walnut Creek.
337 Rheem Blvd, Moraga
Back in March of last year we learned that home/made kitchen cafe & bakery would be moving from the Haceinda to Rheem Blvd. where Mondello’s used to be in Moraga (a few doors down from 24 Hour Fitness) and lots of progress is being made including what looks like a large patio area in front. According to their website they are planning for a summer opening. Check out their menu here.
From their website:
home/made kitchen brings something fresh to the table, literally. Many of our ingredients are sourced from organic, local, sustainable farms and everything is made in house. The result is authentic, inspired California cuisine.
Located at 337 Rheem Boulevard in Moraga, the cafe will open this summer with approximately 40 seats indoors and 20 seats outdoors. The hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 6am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-3pm. Breakfast will be served all day with lunch in the afternoon, as well as packaged take out meals for dinner. – See more at: http://www.homemadekitchen.com/index/#sthash.GzQBzPVn.dpuf

This August Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery has the pleasure and honor to exhibit 3 Bay Area artists. All 3 bring together a rich and diverse array of media. Julia Rymer’s “biological abstractions” are playful, graphite, acrylic and gouache on paper, mylar and wood. Jeffrey Sully features carved redwood and shaped mixed media paintings on wood and painter Gregory Vasgerdsian brings his fresh and bright alla prima plein heir oil paintings of impressionistic vineyard and local landscapes.

Crazy in Suburbia recently pointed out that Century Theatres in downtown Walnut Creek will soon begin serving wine and beer. A manager I spoke with believes the new wine bar will open next year and may be similar to the one in Napa. Has anyone drank wine in a movie theater? This will be a new experience for me.
From the 2012 Napa theater press release:
With the opening of the new Century Napa Valley and XD Theatre, Cinemark proudly introduces the CineVino Wine Bar, with a luxurious lounge, serving locally produced wines and beers. Favorites such as Trinchero Family Estates, Francis Ford Coppola Wineries, Lagunitas Brewing Company, and the Napa Smith Brewery will be featured at the CineVino Wine Bar, complemented by small plate food selections which will pair nicely with the drink offerings.

With word that luxury destination travel club Inspirato is opening up a retail shop in Broadway Plaza soon I’ve been thinking what places I want to visit. Right now I’d like to travel to Hawaii as I’ve never been and I think that would be a fun place to visit with my family. Not to mention recently watching the hilarious Brady Bunch episode when they visit there. Where would you like to visit most of all?

Check out their menu below and photos of the inside after the jump. Has anyone had a chance to try this out? How are the burgers and shakes?
