The fitness studio TruFusion opened recently at Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek. In addition to a variety of classes they also have an organic health bar, childcare and really nice locker rooms with showers.

Last summer we learned that the fitness studio TruFusion would be coming to Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek and their Coming Soon signage is now up. According to their Walnut Creek studio page, they offer 65 class styles and 240 unlimited group classes per week and to kick off the opening they have a special, “$30 FOR 30 DAYS” offer with no initiation fees that goes to $119/month thereafter. A couple of YogaWorks pop up studios, one for yoga in Main Street Plaza and one for Pilates in Plaza Escuela, are now open until summer when their new gym will open in Main Street Plaza where Tuesday Morning used to be. Note that the new gym will only use part of the Tuesday Morning space, not all of it.

The fitness studio TruFusion will be coming to downtown Walnut Creek in Plaza Escuela according to the latest leasing information. This is where Spirit Halloween and Sports Authority used to be so it’s quite large at over 15,000 sf.

Thanks to everyone who emailed that Panera Bread is closing in Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek. Tomorrow will be their last day:
Our bakery-cafe at 1140 Locust Street in Walnut Creek will permanently close its doors at the end of the day on Tuesday, May 22nd.
Of course, you can still get your favorites at one of our nearby bakery-cafes. We hope to see you soon.

Late last year we learned that Poke Bar would be coming to another downtown Walnut Creek spot, this time at Plaza Escuela, and their signage is now up.

In October we learned that a Joseph Abboud section would be opening within Men’s Wearhouse in Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek and it has now opened. Note the separate entrance that has been added on the Locust St. side.

Get ready for another poke restaurant coming to Walnut Creek. According to the latest leasing information a restaurant called Poke Bar is planning to open where Inge’s Footwear used to be. Is this where the frozen yogurt place Red Mango used to be several years ago?
