Last month we noted that Plaza Escuela taped off benches in response to the coronavirus pandemic and only a short time later some of the tape has been ripped off. Looks like some people really want to get back to normalcy and are chafing at the restrictions.
I wonder if Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in downtown Walnut Creek updates their business casual proper attire rules on an ongoing basis? I imagine every now and then someone comes in wearing something not on the list; the manager rolls their eyes and has a new sign printed with additional attire not to be worn.

AAA is relocating from their downtown Walnut Creek location at Plaza Escuela to Encina Grande where Leslie’s Pool Supplies used to be (since moved to nearby Citrus Marketplace).
Thanks to a reader for sending the above photo showing that the Golden State Warriors Team Store, which opened a few years ago in downtown Walnut Creek across from Broadway Plaza, has closed. Considering the Warriors last place standing, this is not at all surprising. You may recall that in January the Giants Dugout store closed as well, right next door.

The fitness studio TruFusion opened recently at Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek. In addition to a variety of classes they also have an organic health bar, childcare and really nice locker rooms with showers.

Last summer we learned that the fitness studio TruFusion would be coming to Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek and their Coming Soon signage is now up. A couple of YogaWorks pop up studios, one for yoga in Main Street Plaza and one for Pilates in Plaza Escuela, are now open until summer when their new gym will open in Main Street Plaza where Tuesday Morning used to be. Note that the new gym will only use part of the Tuesday Morning space, not all of it.
It looks like there can actually be too many Starbucks as the Starbucks in Plaza Escuela in downtown Walnut Creek will be closing on November 1st. The letter below points out the three other Starbucks in the area.
