Back in February of last year I noted the closing of Studio Blue Digital Print and Copy and now The Nail Lounge has opened in its place on Locust St, across from Anthropologie.

11:30am – 12:30pm | Freedance is my passion and my joy. it is the best form of expression, medicine and transformation that i know.
my choreography is inspired by the music. i tend to gravitate to earthy rhythms from various genres across the globe.
my dance style is informed by Afro-Haitian, Modern, Jazz, Latin, Freestyle, a whole lotta love, and any random thing that happens in the moment. i can often be found sweating out my emotions at ecstatic dance in Oakland.
i invite you to join me for this free class, being offered every Saturday in September (and hopefully to resume in November.)
let’s shake it loose and be at home in our bodies.
Dick’s Sporting Goods is opening soon according to a sign on the former Bally Total Fitness building in Pleasant HIll. If they are opening there I’m not sure what’s going where the Dome movie theater used to be, anyone know?

The eyebrow threading salon iBar is opening soon in another location (in addition to their Broadway Plaza location) right next to The Counter at the Mercer apartment complex on N. California Blvd. in downtown Walnut Creek. If I had to take a guess I imagine this is in preparation for when Broadway Plaza closes. This way they’ll still have a downtown Walnut Creek presence, and since the stores at Mercer are populated by so many salons this makes sense that they would move there.

Back in May I noted that Roam Artisan Burgers would be opening in Lafayette Circle where A.G. Ferrari used to be and construction has finally begun for the planned October opening. I wonder if anything will change in the back patio area. I can’t wait to try out a Roam burger!
Spotted in front of Prima in downtown Walnut Creek, this is one sweet Corvette convertible.

Back in August the Walnut Creek police reported that the Walnut Creek Tiffany’s had their front doors smashed in by a truck and this is how to doors look like now. Pretty sad, I hope it gets replaced soon.
BCBGMAXAZRIA has closed in Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek recently judging from the empty storefront as seen in the photos below. By the way, how do people pronounce this store name? Surely people don’t pronounce the entire name, right? It’s eight syllables!
