Macy’s Junior, located next to Macy’s Men and the new Banana Republic in Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek has relocated across the street to the “Women’s Building”. I never realized that was considered the women’s building as I shopped for kitchen goods and luggage on the third floor many times.

Due to the impending redevelopment of Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek resulting in the closure of many stores there for the next couple of years, Broadway Plaza has decided to offer FREE complimentary valet parking to Broadway Plaza shoppers. There will also be additional complementary valet parking on S. Main St. for Neiman Marcus customers. In case you were wondering, cars will be parked at the parking garage next to Crate and Barrel. Although the valet is complimentary, tips are appreciated.
After 30 years in business the owner of Main Street Postal & Business, Sherry Bennett has decided to sell to a new owner who intends to turn it into a UPS store. As vice president of the Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association Sherry will have to relinquish her position but may return to downtown Walnut Creek with a new business in the future. Stay tuned…
According to the new owner, the conversion to a UPS store will take a few months and will be able to offer more business services such as web site design and production print services for businesses large and small.
Sherry will be hosting an open house “Thank You” party at Main Street Postal this evening from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. RSVP is requested.

Back in August I noted that We Olive in downtown Walnut Creek would be offering wine tasting and the wine bar is now open. Check out their complete wine list here. In the near future they plan on offering cheese and other pairings to go with the wine selections.
From the menu:
Our Wine Bar was created as a place to share our love of both great food and wine. We emphasize hard-to-find artisan wines from distinct regions throughout California. Consistent with our philosophy on Extra Virgin Olive Oil, we hand-select only the finest limited-edition California wines to share with our customers. All bottles of wine are available for retail purchase for $7 less than the listed price.
Saratoga Computers has relocated from the building where CREAM is on N. Main St. in downtown Walnut Creek to Cypress St. where Just e-Cigs used to be. Check out their website here.
