The Shops at Todos Santos, Concord
In December we learned that Yum Squared Thai Cuisine would be coming to The Shops at Todos Santos in Concord where Woung Luang Thai Cuisine used to be and they have now opened. Based on that cool looking front entry maybe it should be called Yum Half-Circled?

Considering the warning coming from the CDC yesterday about preparing for the coming coronavirus pandemic I was disturbed to learn that Contra Costa Health Services reported the same day that three coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Contra Costa county. Despite coming from people outside the county who are being treated in local hospitals does not make me feel much better because it’s just a matter of time before it spreads to more and more people.

Todos Santos Plaza, Concord
Thanks to a reader for pointing out that the Peruvian restaurant Lima, which opened a few years ago at Todos Santos Plaza in Concord, is planning to close mid to late March. A sign in the window indicates that Sultan’s Kebab will be coming here next. Possibly this one located in San Francisco, Pleasanton and Danville. Stay tuned…
1997 Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek
Thanks to a reader for sending word that Rite Aid will be closing in Walnut Creek’s Tice Valley neighborhood. According to one employee I spoke with, March 22nd will be their last day.
Spotted at City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, this is a “vintage Andrew Kohler piano from the early 1900s, one of the few pianos made in San Francisco”.
