Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show will kick off at 7:00 pm with The Real Doug Lane dork Lowe’s by Featherborn.

5:00 – 8:00pmThe LaMorinda Homebrew Competition, hosted by Orinda Theatre Square and sponsored by The Fourth Bore Tap Room & Grill is a wonderful chance for brewers to put the spotlight on their talent. There will be 6 professional brewer judges and 2 celebrity judges. There will also be the people’s choice awards. The event will be held on Saturday Sept 29th from 5PM to 8PM at Theater Square in Orinda. There will be live music and participating restaurants will have food specials being served throughout the competition and into the evening.

6:30pm freeThe Lost Boys is about two brothers who move to California and end up fighting a gang of young vampires. The title is a reference to the Lost Boys in J. M. Barrie’s stories about Peter Pan and Neverland, who, like the vampires, never grow up.

Earlier this summer we learned that a new baby food subscription service called Square Baby would be opening a retail shop in Orinda Theatre Square and they have now opened. Check out their online shop here and find out more about their story and founder’s background here. Currently their baby food is made locally in Oakland at a commercial kitchen.

11:00am – 7:30pm | FreeLamorinda Idol finalists in soloist and group categories will compete at this free event throughout the day, culminating in the Lamorinda Idol 2018 winners being crowned in the elementary, middle and high school categories at 7 pm.
Audience members are an important part of the voting and will have the chance to cast votes for their favorite Lamorinda finalists on August 19th. Audience votes, combined with feedback from a panel of musically experienced judges, will determine who will be crowned 2018 Lamorinda Idols.
