Blackhawk Plaza, Danville
The liquid nitrogen-based, made-on-demand ice cream shop Creamistry, that we learned last summer would be coming to Blackhawk Plaza in Danville, has now opened. Their official grand opening will be this Saturday, June 16th. For a detailed menu click here.

Last month we learned that a new DIY creative studio called AR Workshop would coming to Danville and they have now opened. As you can see in the photos below the color scheme nicely compliments the wood accents throughout the store. In addition to workshop classes they also have a small retail section in front and are planning on getting a liquor permit soon. Check out the projects here. When I dropped by I saw they have a special $10 “GRANDOPEN” coupon expiring June 1st.

In March we learned that Country Waffles would be closing in Danville and the new Crumbs Breakfast & Lunch signage is up with “opening June 2108” signs posted on the outside. It also notes they’ll be open 6am – 3pm and will be, “a place for the community to gather, enjoy great food & drink in this beautiful place we call home.”

A new restaurant called Solo Vida is planned for the new construction going on at the corner of Railroad Ave. and Church St. in Danville. As you can see in the above photo the outside looks mostly done. According to a LinkedIn profile it looks like the CEO of this restaurant is also CEO of Primavera Ristorante in San Ramon. Stay tuned…
Thanks to everyone who sent word that Chow has closed in Danville on Railroad Ave. Their Lafayette, Oakland and San Fracnisco locations remain open. I heard the rent was just too damn high…

After a decade here on Railroad Avenue, we have made the decision to close our doors. We have truly enjoyed being a part of this community, and to have had the chance to be a part of your lives.

Danville Livery
Late last year we learned that Wow Wow Lemonade, the Hawaiian lemonade shop would be coming to the Danville Livery shopping center on Sycamore Valley Rd. and they have now opened. In addition to lemonade they also offer iced coffee, limeade, iced tea and even acai bowls, avocado toast and more items.

In March we learned that San Ramon-based restaurant Fat Maddie’s opened in the Downtown Pleasant Hill shopping center and they will also be coming to Blackhawk Plaza in Danville where FieldHouse Sports Grill used to be. Check out their menu here.
