Last spring we learned that Basil Leaf Cafe would be closing on Hartz Ave. in Danville and now the Tex-Mex restaurant Cocina Hermanas has opened in this spot. This the same owner as Harvest across the street. Check out their lunch menu here and dinner menu here.

The kickboxing gym iLoveKickboxing is opening a new studio at Danville Square this spring. They opened last summer in the Avalon apartment complex near the Pleasant Hill BART station in Walnut Creek (same franchise owner). Someone mentioned they have new owners which may explain the expansion. This is one of my favorites, made right in downtown Walnut Creek “pasteurizing local and seasonal ingredients”.
