Sabores del Sur, the Chilean restaurant that has been open for lunch since last April is going to be offering dinner service on Thursdays and Fridays beginning September 3rd. Check out their menu here. In addition, they will also be offering beer and wine. I’ve been trying to take my family here for a while now so this is great news!

Located in the recently renovated Willow Shopping Center, Eureka!’s wine country aesthetic design is bringing in white brick walls, chevron patterns throughout, and sliding glass nana doors that lead to an al fresco dining experience in the expansive patio. The 4,000 square foot restaurant seats 170 guests and is comprised of eclectic seating options including extra large booths, high top tables, two community tables, and paneling that incorporates handcrafted wood retrieved from historic American barns, factories, and whiskey distilleries.

Swad Indian Cuisine is relocating from it’s current spot next to Pizza Antica in downtown Lafayette a few blocks away where iSushi Restaurant used to be on Moraga Rd. They expect to open in the new spot sometime this fall. Check out their menu here.

Treat Towers, Walnut Creek
Thanks to a reader for sending word that Specialty’s Café & Bakery is coming to Treat Towers at Treat Blvd. right off Highway 680. Look for a fall opening. According to their website it looks like this will be their first location in Contra Costa County. Check out their menu here.

Willows Shopping Center, Concord
Back in April we learned that Palo Alto-based Rick’s Rather Rich Ice Cream would be coming to the Willows Shopping Center in Concord and there has been quite a bit of progress with the signage now up. Hopefully they can open before summer ends. Stay tuned…

At the beginning of the year we learned that the owners of Gusto and Locanda Positano in San Carlos would be opening a new Italian restaurant called Locanda Ravello in Danville this spring and they are expected to open very soon, probably by this weekend.
