Back in April I noted that Mona’s Burgers and Shakes would be opening in the Palos Verdes mall in Walnut Creek this summer and they are progressing with their signage up now and a Craigslist post looking for servers, cooks and cashiers. Their Facebook page is subtitled, “burger restaurant, hot dog joint, salad bar”.

Back last October I noted that Inge’s Footwear had downsized in Walnut Creek and now they are having a moving sale as they will be be relocating in Walnut Creek by the end of the year somewhere near Keiser Permanente on Newell Ave. and S. Main St.

He formed the renowned group, The Bluesbreakers, in the early 1960s. The group served as a springboard to stardom for a long list of respected blues musicians including Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. The three went on to respectively form Cream, Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones after their time with Mayall.
With over 60 albums to his name, John Mayall is the undisputed Godfather of the British Blues. Carrying a reputation as a legendary artist, John Mayall has played alongside some of the greatest musicians of the 20th century including Sonny Boy Williamson, T Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Freddy King, Albert King, Brownie McGhee, Sonny Terry, Otis Rush and Buddy Guy.
John Mayall’s energy and passion for music reaches out to all who hear it and you can see this living legend and his incredible band right here at the Lesher Center.

Diablo Dish recently reported that a new casual, Asian restaurant called BZ Grill Asian Kitchen has opened in the Danville Livery. As you can see on the wall menu below (click to enlarge), step 1 is to choose a protein (grill or wok style), and step 2 is to choose a base like rice, noodles or salad. Each box comes with “Korean style broccoli, bean sprouts, pickled veggies & Asian slaw”.

The temporary fencing that had been in front of the Park Plaza shops in downtown Lafayette for a while have finally been removed, the Available signs are up, so I look forward to seeing which stores, restaurant and/or cafe will open up in this location. Note the store at the far left in the photo is the Pioneer Store which was built in the 1860s and used as a store, post office and dwelling house.
