Making its SF/Walnut Creek debut, Max McLean takes audiences on a fascinating theatrical adventure as C.S. Lewis, tracing his journey from atheism to belief in C.S. Lewis Onstage: The Most Reluctant Convert.
Adapted almost exclusively from Lewis’ writings, Max McLean inhabits Lewis from the death of his mother, his estranged relationship with his father and the experiences that led him from vigorous debunker to the most accessible and eloquent Christian intellectual of the 20th Century.

GAP Reopens in New Broadway Plaza Spot in Walnut Creek

June 20, 2016 8:30 am

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek

We knew for a while that GAP would be relocating to the new Broadway Plaza redevelopment in downtown Walnut Creek and they have now reopened in a beautiful two story section on the backside of Broadway Plaza between Nordstrom and Macy’s. It’s much bigger than the previous location and both the outside architecture and inside look great. Plenty of natural light thanks to giant vertical windows that run straight up from the ground floor. Note the comfortable lounge area in front.

Starbucks Reopens in New Spot in Broadway Plaza

June 17, 2016 11:30 am

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek

Starbucks Coffee has reopened near Macy’s as the backside of Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek has finally opened with quite a few stores including a huge new GAP store, the children’s clothing store Hanna Andersson, Victoria’s Secret, Lucky Brand, Bath & Body Works, See’s Candies, and the clothing store True Religion. It looks like Soma Intimates and Teavana is also open, with Clarks Shoes probably opening this Monday. This is way more than the stores that opened during the first phase back in November when only Kiehl’s and Lou & Grey were initially open. The new buildings are way taller than the last time the backside was open a couple of years ago. How do you like this new section of Broadway Plaza? There are a couple of nice lounge areas and benches.

It Sold for What?!

June 16, 2016 2:00 pm

Brendan Moran is a broker associate with The Moran Group at Keller Williams Realty. Neither he nor any company he’s affiliated with represented any of the parties or were directly involved in the transaction reported below. The source of information is Contra Costa Association of Realtors MLS. Information is deemed reliable but not guaranteed.

We usually like to show you homes that sold for less than what the seller was asking. It’s a good way to show that even in a tough market, there are still deals out there.

This is not one of those homes.

Address: 839 Avalon Ave, Lafayette
List Price: $998,000
Sold Price: $1,310,000
Days on Market: 10
Close of escrow: 5/17/16

This three bed, two bath home rancher tucked off School Street near downtown Lafayette sold for more than $300,000 over the list price. It was the first time on the market in 63 years for the 1548 sq ft home with a charming cottage feel (and only a 10,282 sq ft lot). As they say in real estate, location is everything!

Listing courtesy of Leslie Mills and Debra E. Smith, Coldwell Banker.
