Well, that was fast. The Walnut Creek police was able to interview a suspect who confessed to writing on the windows of banks. Here’s the press release:
As a result of yesterday’s press release, callers and other law enforcement personnel identified the subject in question as Jared Bedecarre. Bedecarre was interviewed by the Walnut Creek Police Department on 11/22/11 and confessed to writing on the windows of banks in Walnut Creek, Clayton, Concord and Pleasant Hill. Bedecarre is active in the “Occupy Movement” and stated he was attempting to get a message out but did not intend to damage any of the banks. Bedecarre was not arrested and the cases will be turned over to the District Attorney’s office for review of possible charges.

This is the Christmas Tree at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. Over the weekend the Salvation Army kicked off their holiday charity drive with a visit from the Salvation Army band. Definitely a festive environment over there this time of year.
Last time it was a yellow Ferrari, this time it’s a red one, right in front of Nordstroms.
As reported by Patch the other day, a San Francisco Giants Dugout store is opening in Walnut Creek. Located across from Crate and Barrel, it’s going to open the day after Thanksgiving according to some workers I spoke with. The Grand Opening will happen on December 3 from 10AM – 1PM according to the Giants Dugout website:
Join the Giants in celebrating this NEW East Bay store location which will be the largest store outside of AT&T Park. Larry Baer, Duane Kuiper, Willie McCovey, Lou Seal and additional special guests will be at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony starting at 10:00 AM. There will be live entertainment, activities for the family, prizes and ballpark snacks at the party. The 2010 World Series Trophy will also be on hand during the event.
Can’t make it to the party? Visit the store during the month of December to receive free personalization on newly purchased jerseys. This looks like a great event for all baseball fans out there.
Cole European, the Jaguar and Land Rover dealer located at 2103 N. Main St. in Walnut Creek is undergoing construction to expand and remodel their showroom. Estimated finish date is mid-December according to people I spoke with there. Previously there was a storage area that will be added to the showroom. Along with the new Dirito Brothers Volkswagen dealership nearby, it looks like Walnut Creek car dealerships are on the up-and-up just in time for Christmas.
