We are excited to have Vice Mayor of Lafayette Mike Anderson as our Master of Ceremonies for this year’s “Inspired By Nature” themed event, celebrating our parks and open spaces. After the reception, we will present the Leadership In Sustainability and Green Building Awards, honoring those who demonstrate outstanding commitment and leadership in making Contra Costa a healthy, resilient place to live, work, and play for generations to come.
In addition, SCOCO’s visionary partner, Central Contra Costa Sanitary District, will present their Pollution Prevention Awards to local business groups for their exceptional efforts to minimize water pollution and protect the environment.
Guests at the awards gala will have the chance to cast their own vote in SCOCO’s 3rd annual Seeds of Change Contest. The award presents a $500 prize to an individual or organization seeking to fund creative projects and innovative ideas that have the potential for broad use and wide impact.
