Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Back in February we learned that GODIVA would be coming to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek and as you can see in the above photo they’ll be opening next to Victoria’s Secret near Macy’s. Find out more about their Belgium chocolates which were first made in 1926 here.

1320 Locust St, Walnut Creek
Last month we learned that the organic juice bar Urban Remedy was coming to La Fiesta Square in downtown Lafayette and according to SF Eater they are also planning on opening in downtown Walnut Creek in August. It will be located next to Veggie Grill and in addition to drinks will also offer ready-to-eat meals and snacks. Check out their juices here, and meals and snacks here.

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Broadway Plaza will soon be home to three sunglasses stores with Solstice Sunglasses opening soon near Macy’s. Apex by Sunglass Hut opened last December, also near Macy’s, and Sunglass Hut is located near Neiman Marcus. Check out the Solstice Sunglasses selection here.

Open since the backside of the newly redeveloped Broadway Plaza reopened a few weeks ago, Bath & Body Works also features a White Barn candle and fragrance section within this new location. A few years ago they used to be located on the main street of the plaza. Interestingly, the lighthouse and other items seen below in this area are for sale. Once bought, they are not replaced.

Earlier this year we found out that island-lifestyle clothing store Tommy Bahama would be relocating to Broadway Plaza from their current downtown Walnut Creek location and as you can see from the giant sign in the backside of the plaza, this is definitely happening. Check out their website here.

1601 N. Main St, Walnut Creek
A few years ago we learned that Walnut Creek-based lugged steel bicycle maker Rivendell was opening a showroom called Bike, Book & Hatchet in downtown Walnut Creek featuring their own bicycles, as well as books and hatchets, and sadly, this eclectic shop is closing at the end of September. However, Rivendell still takes orders online here and will continue to focus on making lugged steel bikes at their original location at 2040 N. 3590 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette
Last December we learned that the liquor store BevMo!, featuring, “fine wines, premium spirits and craft beers” would probably be coming to downtown Lafayette and as you can see they will be “opening soon”. According to Diablo Dish they will be opening on July 28th.

It seems like just yesterday but the stationery store Papyrus closed almost two years ago in downtown Walnut Creek and they are finally coming to the backside of Broadway Plaza near Nordstrom.
