Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Well, that was fast. Thanks to everyone who sent word that less than one year opening at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek, Pinstripes has closed. The first month they were open, I bowled with my family at half-off and had a great time. Their San Mateo location remains open. Check out this location here.

Mexican restaurant Dia y Noche, which opened about five years ago in downtown Walnut Creek, has closed. They had the most epic Day of the Dead displays I’ve seen a few years ago!
1349 Locust St, Walnut Creek
Maymay’s Cravings, an “Asian snack bar”, has replaced Cornology within Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea in downtown Walnut Creek. I don’t think I’ve even encountered an “instant ramen bar” before, where one can select the instant ramen package, add toppings and make a bowl yourself with supplied hot water. Very interesting! Anyone have a favorite?

Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek
Last December, we learned that Original Joe’s would be coming to Broadway Plaza where Stanford’s used to be, and it looks like they plan on opening sometime this month based on their Insta post here:
We are aiming to open in mid-August! We’ll be sure to announce the date once it’s confirmed!

Last October, we learned that Abe’s Cafe would be coming to Lafayette, and thanks to a reader for sending word (and photo) that they will be (or have) opened. According to their Facebook page they should be opening today, July 30th!
1545 Locust St, Walnut Creek
In May, we learned that Tifa Chocolate & Gelato would be coming to downtown Walnut Creek next too Mr. Green Bubble, and they have now opened. Check out their gelato flavors here, drink selection here, and chocolate selection here.
