1375 N Main St, Walnut Creek
Last August we learned that Adib’s Persian Rug Gallery would be moving to 1424 S. Main St. Walnut Creek and now the owner is redeveloping this location, splitting it into two separate spaces, one on each floor, which will include an elevator.
1960 North Main St, Walnut Creek
Located across the street from Target in downtown Walnut Creek is a new apartment complex being built by MIll Creek called the North Main Apartments which will contain 126 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Check out the features and amenities here. Interestingly there will be “electric car charging stations”. I like that washer and dryers are included as well.

Leasing is expected to begin in Fall 2014 with first move-ins in early 2015.
S. California Blvd. & Botelho Dr, Walnut Creek
A new downtown Walnut Creek project to bring 24 high-end condominiums, retail stores and a restaurant next to an expanded Alma Park is being proposed by Hall Equities Group which also developed the space right next to this where Habit Burger Grill is located (note the right side in the above rendering). I look forward to seeing which restaurant opens here as well as how this project progresses. This looks really nice.

3428 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette
Last January progress was being made on construction of a new apartment complex for lower income seniors called Lafayette Senor Housing in downtown Lafayette on Mt. Diablo Blvd, and the apartments are almost ready as you can see in the photo above. Now known as Belle Terre, there are 45 senior units.

In September I noted that The Nail Lounge opened on Locust St. in downtown Walnut Creek and it turns out that The Nail Shop, located across the street next to Anthropologie moved there. So the old post office and this location are now available for lease which potentially could be combined for a larger store to open up.
Broadway Lane
Back in March of last year I posted the first renderings of how the Broadway Plaza redevelopment might look and this week new renderings were posted at the Walnut Creek current projects website. Previously there was consideration of converting the street for pedestrian usage only as well as apartments above the retail stores. Judging by the new renderings both of these ideas have been quashed. The rendering above shows the backside of Broadway Plaza facing Nordstrom. So how do you think it looks?

Last year in August I noted that new townhomes were being built at the old Hungry Hunter restaurant at the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Pleasant Hill Rd. in Lafayette and construction is almost complete with the townhomes available for move-in later this month.

3722 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Lafayette
Located next to the Veterans Memorial Building parking lot in Lafayette, this new building will soon house the fruit and vegetable exporter The Fresh Connection. Check out their website here. They will be moving from nearby Dewing Avenue.
This week I noted that the Terraces of Lafayette information center, a proposed apartment complex in Lafayette at the corner of Pleasant Hill Rd. and Deer Hill Rd. for moderate income families opened and there seems to be some opposing viewpoints as to whether this development fits in with the character of Lafayette. So with that being said, do you support the Terraces of Lafayette development?
1524 Locust St Walnut Creek
Back in March I noted that Inge’s Footwear would be contracting in downtown Walnut Creek on Locust St. and the new wall is up with separate retail space now available. Will a salon be opening up here or something else?
