Peace, Love, Mozart & Beethoven at Lesher Center on Jan 22nd in Walnut Creek

Peace, Love, Mozart & Beethoven:

Lesher Center for the Arts
1601 Civic Dr, Walnut Creek
Sunday, January 22nd, 2017
4:00pm | $57 – $87

Never-before performed by the California Symphony in our 30-year history, the orchestra takes on Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4. Plus, Austrian-Romanian pianist Maria Radutu moves her fingers faster than you can say “Mozart!” in his Piano Concerto No. 23. This special program opens with Christopher Theofanidis’ Peace Love Light YOUMEONE, which was commissioned by the California Symphony in 1995 before the composer came to be known as one of the greatest composers alive today; he liked the work so much, he later repurposed it to be a part of a much larger work he wrote, called Visions and Miracles.
