Mr. Green Bubble, which opened 9 years ago in downtown Walnut Creek, has closed. In its place, UMe Tea will be opening soon. And for anyone wondering, my family included, whether “UMe” refers to the Japanese plum flavor (ume), it does not. The name actually stands for “U” and “Me.”

Ecco, which has been at Broadway Plaza since before the remodel, is closing at the end of the year. Right now, quite a few shoes were only 10% off, which is actually worse than their usual sales, so it might be worth checking back later for better discounts. Check out their online selection here.

After a multi-year wait, furniture make Herman Miller finally opened a showroom at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek. I think I tried sitting in every single chair in the showroom and they are all super comfortable. As expected, really beautiful furniture overall. Check out their online showroom here.
