Danville Livery
Last August we learned that the Japanese fusion restaurant Aozora would be coming to Danville Livery where Jules Thin Crust Pizza used to be and they are now getting ready to open next month with a special menu available for takeout. I was able to get a preview of the inside which you can see below. There will also be an outdoor dining patio (seen in the above photo on the left). This will be a great place to enjoy Japanese fusion, with a full bar available, including whiskey, and in the meantime, be sure to order takeout to try something new, and support local businesses. Check for updates on their website here and Insta here.

Thanks to a reader for sending word and photo that California Pedaler in Danville is now a Trek Bicycle store. According to their website they’re temporarily closed. I picked up a bike pump here a couple of months ago and they were very helpful so I hope to see them back open soon.

Thanks to everyone who sent word that Homegrown Sustainable Sandwiches, which opened a few years ago, closed recently in Danville. A new restaurant called Hopstone Cafe is supposed to open here shortly, hopefully they’ll offer take-out and delivery.

Daon Authentic Korean Cuisine opened recently in the Danville Town & Country Shopping Center where Fish on Fire used to be. According to a reader this is the only Korean restaurant in Danville and they have Korean fried chicken.

A new Napa-based wine tasting lounge/store called The Find (previously Nomad Vintners) is opening in Danville on March 6th. Find out more about the vintners and the wines they’ll feature here. The inside feels quite spacious with various areas to hang out including a separate room for more private tastings.
From their website:
Experience a very carefully curated selection of boutique, vintner owned brands the way typically reserved for a trip to wine country. Taste with the owners. Learn from the farmers. Discover wines largely unavailable outside of Napa Valley.

More photos of the inside after the jump…
