Chevy’s Closes in San Ramon

Thanks to a reader for sending word that the Mexican restaurant Chevy’s closed in San Ramon near Bollinger Canyon Rd. and San Ramon Valley Blvd. According to sign in the window check out their Emeryville and Union City locations if you miss them.

    If you live in an area with a high latino population and you eat at Chevy’s or On the Border, you deserve the garbage food you’re going to get.

        Well, I’m sure there is another Chevy’s you can drive to if you get tired of the vastly improved food scene in WC.

    Back in the day, Chevy’s was a guilty pleasure, and then they got bought by PepsiCo I think and that was that for me. I did like watching “el machino” making the tortillas.

    Chevy’s in the beginning was a fun place to go. Sadly was never the same after sale to Pepsi.
