With the Superbowl coming up this Sunday (Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos) I wonder what is the best bar to watch the big game. Where are you going to watch? I noticed the new restaurant Kanishka’s in downtown Walnut Creek is hosting a Superbowl ‘tailgate’ event at 10:30am on Sunday.

The eagerly anticipated Indian gastropub Kanishka’s has opened in downtown Walnut Creek on Bonanza St. where Fujian used to be and it looks great inside. The jeans shop 7 For All Mankind has closed in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. Considering this is located next to Lacoste which recently closed to make room for a Tesla showroom it looks like this may be used by Tesla as well.
For jeans there is still Lucky Brand and True Religion right around the corner where the fountain is.

6:30pm – 8:00pm| FreeCupid invites singles to the Walnut Creek Library on for our Literary Speed Dating event in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Discover love in the stacks this Valentine’s season! The event is free and aimed at adults in their 20s and 30s.
Participants are asked to bring a book they loved, hated, or just recently read as an ice-breaker. Each date will last just a few minutes before participants will receive the signal to rotate to their next date. Participants are asked not to give out their names or contact information during the course of the evening. Matches will be contacted within 5 days after the event. Light refreshments will be served.
