Lush Cosmetics, which opened a few years ago at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek has closed temporarily for a few weeks for a remodel. Check out their online shop here. What do you think of their bath bombs? Worthwhile?

If you happen to find yourself parked at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek getting ready to go shopping, walk down through side entrance near Macy’s to learn more about the role of trees and relax on the bench before heading out to shop. Or stop by on the way back before heading home.

Thanks to a reader for sending word that Stanford’s closed today at Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek. It was packed when I checked them out last night to celebrate/mourn the last day in business. According to an employee the construction next door wasn’t helping…

The beauty supply store Sephora temporarily closed their existing Broadway Plaza location in Walnut Creek and will be reopening this Friday, June 7th around the corner where Makers Market used to be. Four years ago Sephora got a facelift at this location so I wonder what changes are in store.

In February we learned that San Francisco-based Padis Jewelry would be opening a new store this spring at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek featuring De Beers Forevermark Diamonds. Interestingly, the opening signage has been changed from spring to summer and the Padis branding has been dropped. However, the Broadway Plaza directory still lists “Forevermark by Padis Jewelry”.

A couple of years ago the American-made, handcrafted goods boutique Makers Market first opened at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek but eventually relocated within the plaza to where Kit and Ace used to be. Last week they relocated once again, this time back to their original spot across from Nordstrom. With the recently opened Apple store nearby it looks much better around there. Industrious, a New York-based coworking and private office space company, is coming to Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek by year-end. One possible location is on the second floor where the Lululemon and L’Occitane building is located although that has not been confirmed. According to their Bay Area location webpage, prices in San Francisco start at $500+ for a community membership and $900+ for a private office so stay tuned for pricing in this suburban location…

Last month the children’s clothing store Janie and Jack was planning on closing at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek due to the bankruptcy of its owner Gymboree. However, it turns out that Gap bought Janie and Jack for $35 million and so it will remain open and continue to operate as a standalone brand according to this SF Chronicle article.
