The jewelry store C.Y. Louie is closing on the backside of Broadway Plaza. According to a sign in the window there is a sale with, “up to 50% off”.
1414 N. Main St, Walnut Creek
The Danville-based, high-end women’s consignment boutique Consignit Couture is opening a new location on February 1st next to Lottie’s Creamery in downtown Walnut Creek on N. Last month I posted scuttlebutt that the Japanese clothing store Uniqlo may be coming to downtown Walnut Creek and it turns out to be true according to the shopping center’s site plan. Uniqlo is set to take over 2 floors at the corner of S. Main St. and Botelho Dr. In the meantime Gina Khan Salon which used to be located upstairs temporarily moved into the spacious first floor location while Camera West on the second floor will move over to the old Gina Khan location across the hall by March.
Brookstone has closed in Broadway Plaza in downtown Walnut Creek. According to a sign in the window the closest location is in the Sunvalley mall in Concord.

Naracamicie opened their Walnut Creek location in May of last year but due to the pending Broadway Plaza redevelopment, they have now closed however you can still check them out in San Francisco at 352 Sutter St. Check out their website here.
Back in January I noted that an old building at the corner of N. Broadway and Cypress in downtown Walnut Creek was being demolished to make room for a new building that would house La Soie Bridal Salon on the first floor and they are now open. The entrance is on the Cypress side, and as you can see from the last photo there is still some construction going on at the corner with space available on the second floor, but the bridal salon is open and available for appointments according to a sign in the window. La Soie Bridal also has locations in Pasadena, Sacramento, Torrance and Valencia. Check out their website here.
The women’s clothing store Coldwater Creek in Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek will be closing. The nearest Coldwater Creek location is in the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton according to a sign posted outside.
