Last November we heard some scuttlebutt about Patrizia Marrone boutique opening in downtown Lafayette and it’s true, when I dropped by on Friday they mentioned that they will be opening by today. They are located between Amphora and 18|8 Fine Men’s Salon. Previously they were located in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville.

For those following progress on the giant window that has been added to Macy’s during the Broadway Plaza renovation, the giant Believe poster has finally been removed to reveal the window. Interestingly, based on the previously featured rendering, it looks like only nine panes will be transparent.

Last June we learned that The Beauty Source opened in downtown Walnut Creek and it looks like it’s being replaced with a blow dry bar called Hair Heroes Salon. Check out their website here.

The last we heard about the new gym Orangetheory Fitness in downtown Walnut Creek was that they were aiming for a February opening but that has now been pushed back to mid April. According to an employee this is a firm opening date so get ready for some heart rate monitoring workouts next month.

The luxury destination club Inspirato opened just last August in Broadway Plaza across from the Tesla Showroom and they have now closed.
3603 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette
A Chase banking center is planned for the empty plot on the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Dewing Ave. next to Diablo Foods in downtown Lafayette. According to plans submitted to the city half the plot would be for a parking lot with the other half a 4150 sf building. However, according to the the city staff report, “the proposal will adversely affect the orderly development of the property within the city because the use disrupts retail continuity” so this banking center may not get approved.
